This second class in the Skilzdrill series will help lay a strong groundwork in basic handling skills for adventure riders. As with DSS 01, what we work on during this class will be of great use to you in ALL your future adventure riding, in a host of different riding situations. It is even valuable on pavement. The day will also include some review of material covered in DSS 01.

Putting it all together
during the Backing In Skilzdrill.
If you only take one class to improve your ability to ride an adventure bike - or any bike - off pavement (or on), this is it. If you only learn one off-pavement riding skill, learn this one; you will eventually find that you accidentally learned several.

This Skilzdrill will be a full day of instruction. At day's end we will be in the middle of a great area for practicing what you've learned, or just cruising fire roads. There are also hot springs nearby! You may want to stick around for a short afternoon ride, or a relaxing dip after a hard day of drills (if so, bring a small towel & a suit / shorts). As on our other ride series, a group restaurant stop on the way home is a possibility as well.

Trail Ratings - R3

Basically well-graded. R1 plus a few turns & inclines, which is about R2. Then add some shallow ruts & small loose rocks...
